Professional Tungsten Carbide Stamping Dies Manufacturer

We specialize in manufacturing precision tungsten carbide stamping die parts and carbide punch components for high-precision metal forming and stamping applications. MOQ: 1 piece. Custom tungsten carbide stamping die components can be produced based on client drawings or samples.

Custom Tungsten Carbide Stamping Dies Machining Capabilities

As an experienced tungsten carbide machining manufacturer, we provide high-precision carbide tooling components for metal stamping, progressive dies, and precision molds.

  • Minimum machinable straight hole diameter: 0.06mm with material thickness of 0.6mm
  • Internal hole surface finish by EDM: up to Ra 0.2
  • External surface polishing roughness: from Ra 0.02 to Ra 1.6
  • Sharp corner machining capability: minimum inner corner radius up to R0.015mm
  • Custom punches, dies, ejector pins, and precision tooling components
  • Complex shapes and micro-precision carbide parts machining
  • Strict dimensional tolerance and surface finish control

Machinable materials include tungsten carbide, mold steel, tool steel, copper, as well as other metals and ceramic materials.

How to Choose the Tungsten Carbide Grade for Stamping Dies

Custom tungsten carbide stamping dies are typically manufactured using grades with properties similar to ISO K-series, with a strong focus on hardness, wear resistance, compressive strength, and resistance to chipping. Unlike components designed for sliding wear or sealing, stamping dies operate under repeated impact and high contact stress during punching, blanking, and forming processes.

Depending on application conditions—such as workpiece material (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, copper alloys), sheet thickness, stamping speed, and production volume—different cobalt binder contents (e.g., K10–K40 equivalent) are selected to balance wear resistance and toughness. Lower cobalt grades provide higher hardness and edge wear resistance for high-precision, low-impact operations, while higher cobalt grades offer improved toughness and resistance to chipping or cracking under heavy load and high-speed stamping conditions.

Corresponding Chinese tungsten carbide grades. For example, K10 corresponds approximately to YG6 (high wear resistance), K20 to YG8 (general purpose), and K30–K40 to YG10–YG15 (higher toughness grades). Final grade selection depends on wear conditions, impact load, and service life requirements.

K10, K15, K20, K30, K40 Grade Equivalency Table (YG6, YG8, YG10, YG15)

ISO Grade General Characteristics Common Chinese Grade Reference
K10 High hardness, low cobalt content, excellent wear resistance YG6 / YG6X
K15 Slightly improved toughness while maintaining good wear resistance YG6X / YG8X
K20 General-purpose grade with balanced wear resistance and toughness YG8
K30 Better toughness and impact resistance YG10 / YG10X
K40 High toughness and high cobalt content, suitable for higher impact conditions YG13 / YG15

Available Tungsten Carbide Grades

We offer a wide range of tungsten carbide grades to meet various application requirements, including materials with different cobalt (Co) contents and customized compositions. Our carbide machining services support processing of tungsten carbide materials containing nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr), titanium (Ti), tantalum (Ta), niobium (Nb), vanadium (V), and other alloying elements in different proportions.

We also offer machining of stamping molds made from other materials, such as Cr12MoV (cold work tool steel), SKD11, DC53, HSS, and bearing steel.
